actually did.

Placement rates tell you how many. They never tell you how. We record the how — week by week, on real job sites.

4 ISSUES

What 31 institutions told us they are stuck on

In August and September 2026 we ran a webinar on international student career support. Of the 49 applications we received — from 31 institutions between Hokkaido and Kansai — the concerns clustered into four. Each one maps onto a part of TC PASSPORT.

Students who have not started thinking about work

Activity accumulates where the student can see it, so the next step is visible to them rather than to you alone. Badges arrive as encouragement from people who watched them work — not as an assessment — which is usually what gets someone moving.

Japanese that passes a test but not a meeting

N2 and N1 do not carry a student through a project meeting. We route students towards the BJT business Japanese test and keep their study record in the same place as the conversations they actually had at work.

No real contact with employers

Finance, traditional crafts, hospitality, rail and retail. Around 90 students are on long-term placements this autumn, and our Jamming Sessions bring working professionals into the room on a regular schedule.

Not knowing who has stalled

The activity log shows who is moving and who stopped three weeks ago. That is usually enough warning to reach the student who has quietly dropped out of the process.

Full programme

Bring in the support structure itself

The app plus long-term internships, Jamming Sessions and career education sessions. For institutions that want to standardise support rather than depend on individual staff.

App only

Start by making activity visible

Registration and the activity record, nothing else changed. For institutions that want to see how their students move before restructuring anything.

Pricing depends on the size of the institution and what is included, so we quote individually. We will walk you through what adoption looks like.

“It is not just proof that I attended. It is proof that a team faced a problem and thought it all the way through.”

Ritsumeikan University, Information Science and Engineering · international student

“It speaks for me when I am not in the room — on a résumé, for example.”

Kansai University, Faculty of Commerce · international student

“Working towards one solution with people from different countries — that is the part I would talk about.”

An online walkthrough takes about 30 minutes, in English or Japanese. We are equally happy to just send the material.
